Can I take a dog with me?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside Roseslottet. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
How do I get to the Rose Castle?
Roseslottet is located at the top of Holmenkollen in Oslo, on the hill above the Frognerseteren restaurant. If you come by car, you can park at Øvresetertjern, approximately 200 meters from Roseslottet's entrance. If you have an HC card, you can park in the handicap parking at our entrance (follow the signs).
The easiest way is to take subway line 1 to the end station Frognerseteren, which takes approximately 30 minutes from the center of Oslo. Roseslottet's ticket office and entrance are right next door. Read more about this here.
How long has the Rose Castle open?
Our opening hours this winter are from 10-17, and 10-20 on Thursdays. Some deviations may occur due to closed events. Information about these deviations is continuously communicated on our Facebook, Instagram and website. Roseslottet's exhibition is open until 31 December 2025.
Can you buy tickets in the Rose Castle?
It is possible to buy tickets at the ticket office on arrival. Roseslottet is cashless, but we accept payment by card and tip.

Is there a dining service on the site?
Visit our new Great Room! Ticket office, gallery, conservatory and simple dining. Coffee, cocoa, mineral water, water, sausages, waffles, cinnamon buns and ice cream are sold here. Deviations may occur.
Is there an age limit on the exhibition?
No, this is an exhibition that suits everyone. In addition to being an art installation, Roseslottet is also an educational project that focuses on communication to all people of all ages.
Are there toilets on site?
Yes, we have toilets at the entrance to Roseslottet, as well as a disabled toilet.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the Rose Castle is for everyone. With approval from the Norwegian Handicap Association, we have arranged for everyone to have a nice experience in the Rose Castle.
Is it allowed to take pictures in the Rose Castle?
Why is it called the Rose Castle?
The Rose Castle is named after the German, non-violent resistance group "Den Hvite Rose". Read more about this here .
